Perfect place to base yourself to enjoy the river Zêzere.
The pool was not open, however we were early in the season and we were assured it would be ready for the next guests- and because of how lovely the host are - we believe them!
The access to the river was our main reason for staying and it was perfect! We brought our own canoe. We walked down the steps from the house and happily spent hours playing on the river. The dogs loved it too. We saw herons and lots of other birds. Another bonus of this place was that it was dog friendly. However I wonder what would have happened if there had been another’s family /couple with a dog too? Finally, our host was lovely and the place very clean, and the kitchen well equipped for preparing meals. Bath was lovely and views good too.

Tranquil spot at edge of lake
There are very few facilities locally so be prepared to arrive with some supplies for breakfast.
If it's tranquillity you're after, this lakeside location couldn't be better. The village is a short stroll away (maybe 500 metres) and you'll find a bar and campsite restaurant there. Our bedroom was large and lavishly decorated with wrought iron furniture and elegant soft furnishings. We also had a small veranda overlooking the lake. There was a lot of attention to detail, e.g. ample toiletries, a good quality hairdryer. While no food is provided, there is a well-equipped kitchen which guests are encouraged to use, and plenty of tables and chairs at eat at. There is also a comfortable lounge area with a television. The owners/managers speak no English but are very friendly. We were hiking to the hotel and the man actually picked us up in torrential rain and drove us to the hotel (we hadn't contacted them so he must have come looking for us).
